10 Dressses i like at the Oscars red carpet 2012

Oscar Winner Sandra Bullock wears two-tone Marchesa with back-draped detail to elegant results. She accessorizes with a Marchesa clutch and jewels by Lorraine Schwartz.

Stacy Keibler killed it in this molten gold metal of a dress by Marchesa. Only someone with 42 inch legs could pull off a giant rose placed squarely on the widest part of their body. No fair.

Emma Stone wore a simple yet striking red dress. The dress however was quite similar to the one Nicole Kidman wore five years ago.

We're new to Li Bingbing, but she looks downright lovely in this petal-textured gown. The sheer side is a delightful surprise and it's worth noting that she's carrying a $400,000 clutch by Lana Marks featuring 40 carats of white diamonds

Gwyneth Paltrow is a caped red carpet crusader in this minimalist Tom Ford gown. And her jewelry is to die for.

When no less than three of our co-watchers noted that ABC's red carpet host Louise Roe looked better than most of the attendees, we knew we had a dark horse winner. Roe wore a blush colored, long-sleeved gown by contemporary brand Black Halo which she accessorized with the raddest ring of the night and a romantic side bun.

Glenn Close's tuxedo jacket kept her forest green Zac Posen look from being mother-of-the-bride. Instead, it was modern, chic, and flawless.

Angelina Jolie doesn’t always look good on the red carpet but for the 2012 Oscars ceremony she did her best to turn heads. The actress looked terrific in a black velvet Atelier Versace gown with a long split on the leg.

Elie Saab is slowly emerging as a top designer for the evening, with Bérénice Bejo in a mint-hued long-sleeve gown with crystal embellishments by the designer paired with a Swarovski clutch and Chopard jewels.

Jennifer Lopez wore a figure-hugging floor-length dress by Zuhair Murad to the 2012 Oscars.
